My 9th great grandfather is George Darling. He was a Scottish prisoner of war in the Battle of Dunbar. He was taken prisoner, exiled to MA via a ship, the Unity, and after being found guilty, made to work at the Lynn Iron Works (now Saugus Iron Works in Saugus, MA) for eight years of servitude. I have been unable to find any Darling family history before his birth but am very interested in any information available. I am researching my Scottish history and George Darling is as far as I have been able to go back.

What a lovely website! I have been DNA linked to a Darling family through Elizabeth Darling born and died in New York 1832-1880. I am still trying to establish how I am related to her.She married Obediah Henry Bloomfield (1823-1911)

Hi I love your site. Both my father (Len Darling dec,) and daughter Nicole have enjoyed art and painting. Nicole and I would love to know more about Ida Amelia Darling.
Ida came to Australia in 1848 at two years of age with her mother
Rosina and father Henry and sister Grace.
